analysis of funeral blues

Long funeral poems are very difficult to get through without plenty of support and practice and choose the poems you want, not what everyone else thinks you should read. Close family members and friends are also asked to speak on the subject, but may not know what to say.

The first thing you want to consider is to lean on your friends and family. Grieving family and friends want others to remember their loved one's life and acknowledge them. Some people come up with serious speeches honoring the deceased person while others would rather show the humorous side of the deceased person.

If you find meaning in a poem, reading, or quote that reminds you of your loved one, consider sharing it in your eulogy. You'll only have to speak for five to ten minutes, your gift will live on in the hearts of the deceased's family and friends. Using poetry to help with grief, to express love or pain and to memorialize a friend or family member is very powerful and will be appreciated by others who have experienced a loss.

Writing a eulogy should not be taken lightly. Writing a eulogy for someone you knew well and probably loved can be a difficult thing to do.
