akins funeral home

In some cases, the surviving family members will address all the funeral details when they make the arrangements. Public speaking does not come easy, but delivering an eulogy you have written may be the most difficult task you have taken upon yourself to do.

When friends and family die, there is a void, an empty feeling that is hard to fill. In some cases, the deceased has already made their own funeral arrangements years prior to their death and perhaps they had details that they felt were important to include in their funeral. Many people call funeral poems death poems, I for one really hate this expression, as I said earlier everything about the funeral should reflect the person's life.

It is important to sit down, take a deep breath and write down a few points you can make. If you attended school with the deceased, you might want to focus on your school days. We leave the dark and dim home of our mother's womb to discover a new home in a brighter, wider world.

Even though death is a sad event, eulogies should always be written in an uplifting and inspiring manner. And it doesn't end after death.
