massachusetts recent obituaries - Take Some Time To Yourself

Funeral or memorial services are also a means to share in the pain and express love for the deceased in order to heal. The purpose of the eulogy is to pay tribute to the deceased as a distinct individual, with unique talents and gifts, who will live on in the memories of the people who loved him.

You could look upon a eulogy as a funeral oration or tribute, but I rather like the idea of seeing as an opportunity to put in a good word for the loved one being honored. Like all particulars of the funeral the music should reflect the individual personality of the deceased. To do all this, while being coherent enough to express how deeply departed one has touched your soul and doing justice to his or her memory is a difficult task indeed.

Try to avoid talking about the details of the death, and focus instead on the life of the deceased. If the person who passed enjoyed the outdoors, maybe a memorial poem with colorful forest or nature-like imagery would speak to the audience, and properly pay tribute to the lost loved one. If you attended school with the deceased, you might want to focus on your school days.

As hard as it may seem right now, it gets better. It is a wonderful idea to include any major achievements that occurred during the person's lifetime.
