funeral poems for mom

There may come a time in your life that you are asked to write a eulogy. Friends and family can be really helpful at a time like this but this doesn't help you to put down on paper how you really felt about your mom.

Funeral homes and the people who work within them help to plan every detail of a person s final arrangements. It may also cover areas where they made great achievements in their life. If you are the type to plan ahead, this will result in much less stress and expense for your loved ones.

The memorial poem could be about an event in the loved one's life or just loving words of a close friend. In the spirit of putting in a good word for the deceased, a eulogy will rarely dwell on any less attractive side of a person's life - a funeral is a time for positive thoughts, forgiveness and perhaps a little regret at lost opportunities; but traditionally it is not a time for accusations and controversy when the person is not in a position to come to his or her own defense. Many families and friends choose to write their own poems or essays about the deceased to have read at memorial services or posted on online memorial sites.

Writing a eulogy should not be taken lightly. It is a tribute, do it justice.
