electric funeral

As much as you love someone, recalling the details of their life at the time of their death is an overwhelming responsibility. When I lost my mother there was no way on earth that I could have written a shopping list never mind poems for funeral tributes.

Written by someone who is close to you, an obituary becomes an intimate view of what made you memorable to others. You are grieving and emotionally drained that you may have a difficult time preparing for this last homage. There is typically little research that needs to be done.

While some are buried in family cemetery plots, others are entombed in mausoleums. Support in whatever form will be greatly appreciated by the bereaved and will weigh favorably on their acceptance of their situation. Do not try to embellish your story with half truths or lies.

Writing a eulogy should not be taken lightly. The eulogist has a chance to ease the pain of others by providing them with a picture of the best things about that person, something they can hold on to in the difficult days to follow.
