funeral flowers

Long funeral poems are very difficult to get through without plenty of support and practice and choose the poems you want, not what everyone else thinks you should read. Central to the funeral and concluding the public grieving period following a death is the eulogy, a funeral speech about the person who died.

If you have been asked to deliver a eulogy, appreciate the honor you have been given. The best eulogy would be a combination of both mentioned above, done in good taste and with a positive outlook. You may feel that you are too sad or that you don't have the skills to write and deliver an appropriately moving tribute at a funeral or memorial service.

This will help you not only to gather all the information to be included or mentioned in the eulogy, but also to enable you to decide early on the tone your writing will take. If you are still looking for funeral poems, I have written more on the subject which I hope you may find useful. If the deceased was a practical joker or light-hearted individual, maybe a poem that incorporates a bit of humor would remind their family of what a happy spirit that individual was.

Again remember, the service and eulogy is held to honor the deceased and celebrate life. Giving a eulogy is an honor.
