funeral blues

Perhaps the best way to start approaching the task of writing a eulogy is to go back to the meaning of the word eulogy, which is derived from Greek words translating broadly as a good word. When being presented with the task of speaking a eulogy, the thought immediately is followed with an irrational fear of not been seen giving them a fit and proper speech.

Services are really about love. Hopefully you have the love and support of family and friends throughout this painful time. Don't be daunted by the task, just take these simple steps for a sincere and moving last farewell.

But ensure it is not over whelming because it might upset the bereaving family. In other cases, it is necessary for the family to arrange funeral burial services on their own. If you are asked to speak at a memorial or funeral service and are having a difficult time writing down how this loss has made you or the family feel, consider including a poem in your tribute.

Even though death is a sad event, eulogies should always be written in an uplifting and inspiring manner. It is a tribute, do it justice.
